Some Photos of a TOS 3rd Season Engineering Tunic

Here are a few reference photos of an Original Series 3rd season Engineering Tunic. It possesses a Starfleet insignia patch and contains no braid. As it was common practice to remove all braid and insignia from costumes prior to sending them out for cleaning; the presence of these decorations on surviving TOS wardrobe pieces should be considered a plus. Note some of matching design characteristics of this tunic to the 3rd season Command version highlighted in a previous article on this blog site, viewable at http://startrekpropauthority.blogspot.com/2008/05/special-photostudy-star-trek-tos-3rd.html In particular, the nylon double knit diamond weave tunic fabric (best seen on this piece in the 4th photo near the zipper slide mechanism), the identical black collar fabric, and the 1960-era YKK manufactured "UNIQUE" zipper assembly ...
