Profiles Star Trek Auction - June 12, 2010 - Final Results

The highly anticipated Profiles In History Star Trek Auction completed today; offering collectors a spectacular array of hero, illuminating hand props - much more than were seen in the Christie's 40 Years Of Star Trek Auction held in October of 2006 - as well as some historic Original Series items amongst the nearly 300 pieces of Trek memorabilia that were available. Some highlights of this very exciting day were the sale of the Balok Puppet Head from the 1st season TOS episode "The Corbomite Maneuver" for an impressive $70,000 as well as the sale of a TOS-style Type II phaser and a TOS-style Tricorder, both used in the DS9 tribute episode "Trials and Tribble-ations" which honored the 30th anniversary of the Original Series, for an astounding $16,000 and $22,500 respectively - all prices not including the 18% buyers premium. The pre-auction estimate on the DS9 TOS-style phaser was $800-$1,200; while that of the DS9 TOS-style tricorder was $1,000 to $1,500! Lot 1409, the screen-used hero illuminating Starfleet XSL Medical Tricorder that was built specifically for use by Captain Janeway in "Endgame", the series finale of Voyager, drew a final bid of $10,000; and a hero illuminating Starfleet Mark VII Medical Tricorder used in TNG through Voyager sold for $8,000; while most of the remaining 9 other hero, working Tricorders that were available drew hammer prices much closer to or within their $3000 - $5000 pre-auction bid estimates.

Presented below are the final hammer prices, not including the 18% buyers premium, for all of the day's bidding ...
